Racing history
Shifter Kart Racing is one of the most affordable, popular forms of racing in North America. Shifter Karts are serious racing machines with liquid cooled engines, six-speed gearboxes, 0 - 60 times of less than 5 seconds and top speeds in excess of 150 MPH. We are MOVIN’!
We compete at world class facilities such as Daytona International Speedway, Road America (Elkhart Lake, WI), Road Atlanta, Virginia International Raceway and Barber Motorsports Park (Birmingham, AL) to name just a few.
The top drivers in every major championship series including Formula 1, Champ Car, Indy Racing League, American LeMans Series and NASCAR trace their racing roots to karting. The Schumacher brothers, Aryton Senna, Tom Kristensen, Danica Patrick, Juan Pablo Montoya, Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart - these drivers are among the many who acquired their racing skills in karting. In fact, many pro drivers keep their skills sharp during the off season driving karts.
